The tube set used is a very highly selected set of Russian (output tubes) and German/Chinese (input tube in the middle),highly pre-selected by tubeamp doctor. To have a real improvement, you need a very specially selected set of non- fakeNOS German tubes like E88CC Siemens or TFK(left and right output) , as well as a TFK ECC801S or Siemens E81CC in the middle( input section).This is very expensive because these tubes are, if really new and not used, very rare.My advise is : If you are happy with the amp′s sound, remember the old computer saying from the sixties : never change a running system !To my believe, the actual tubeset is reliable, very good sounding and not expensive.If any accident should happen, you can get a matched set , authorized by me, from TAD.
