I just got finished doing some initial comparison listening between the W4S DAC2 and the Wadia 121.

The source was my MS750 server via toslink. I started with some punchy jazz from Big Phat Band; Hunting Wabbits.

The Wadia 121 was a clear winner with greater depth to the sound stage, and more air around the well placed instruments.

Playing Adele 21; Rolling in the Deep the vocals were a bit more similar, although I still preferred the smoothness of the Wadia's presentation.

My final comparison tonight was some R&R, AC/DC; Back in Black. It was easy for Rich to repeatedly pick the Wadia over the W4S. More dynamic, with a greater presence of the Guitars.

Overall, aside from liking the Wadia's sound better; I also like the looks of it more.

Pricing is too close to call, and shouldn't be a factor.

Wadia definitely has another hit on their hands.

The Wadia 121 is still burning in, but presently my Schiit Bifrost is very close or on par with the 121's performance. The Wadia has a remote for switching inputs, quite a bit more input and output flexibility, and a nice set of display info, but the Bifrost is an incredible performance per dollar value. Just my 2¢.

Bifrost虽然只有单端输出及较贫弱的USB口, 不过只要1/3的价钱.

Schiit将来的带平衡口的DAC, 也不过1/2多一点.

为毛不负责任，这2张唱片销量是无比高的，听过的人很多，听感自然大家都有个比对
